Torginol Epoxy Coal Tar Base

Description

 Torginol Epoxy Coal Tar Base is a unique polyamide curing Two- pack industrial coating specially formulated for use under some of the most stringent industrial conditions on Metal, Wood, and Cured Concrete etc.
Use:
Best for bulk storage tanks, silos, superstructures and bridges. Invaluable for marine use below the water line of boats, piles and wharves. Also recommended for protecting buried water pipelines and steel water storage tanks.
Properties:
  •  Very durable finish
  •  Resistant to acids and alkali
  •  Resistant to erosion, impact, and water
  •  Excellent adhesion to properly prepared substrates
Finish: Matt and High Gloss
Coverage: 175-200 Sq. Feet per gallon depending on film thickness and absorption.
Thinning and Clean-up: Thinning  generally not recommended. Use Arbo Special Lacquer Thinner for cleaning equipment and spillage.
Re-Coat Time: Allow 24 hours drying time before recoating. Sand slightly between coats.

Note:

    • Torginol Coal-Tar Epoxy  Base is a two-pack system (Base and Converter) which must be mixed thoroughly in the ratio of 1-part Base: 1-part Converter and be allowed to induct for thirty minutes before being applied.
    • Failure to allow sufficient induction will defeat expected results.
    • Mix only the amount needed for the job. Unused mixture cannot be stored and will cure.
    • Pot life after mixing is approximately two hours@ 86 F.
    • Higher temperatures will reduce pot life.
    • Always stir Base and Converter thoroughly before blending.

Does paint expire or have a specific shelf life?

Answer: When stored properly, an unopened can of latex or oil-based paint should have a shelf life of 1 year. The best storage for paint is in a cool, dry area, away from extreme hot and cold temperatures. Paint should never be allowed to freeze and should be stored away from furnaces and other heat-generating appliances
