No paint seems to last on the galvanised iron sheet. What should i use on it?

Answer: GI. Sheets have a zinc coating on MS plate/pipe by a hot dip electrolyte process. The main problem here is gripping and adhesion for paint film. Before you use any paint remove all oil, grease and contaminants by washing with Arbo Regular Thinner. Then wash again with liquid soap solution. Wipe the surface clean with a dry cloth and ensure the surface is completely dry. After cleaning the surface apply 1 coat of Antirus metal primer followed by Antirus Finishing paint.

What adverse effects do thinning a paint product produce?

Answer: Most products are supplied ready to use right out of the can. Some products do require thinning. Read the product label carefully, which will indicate the maximum amount of thinners one need to use and the type of thinners to use. Please note that thinning a paint, past the recommended levels or using a different thinner, would drastically hamper the performance characteristics of the product.
